Being located in NUS MD11, next to the Centre for Translational Medicine, and a short drive from the biomedical research institutes in Biopolis, we have established research links with NUH, NUS and A*STAR institutes. Apart from the business of drug development and research, part of our core mission is to provide opportunities for training of promising local researchers. Over the years, in partnership with the EDB and NUS, we have had life science graduates receive training in the US and UK in the fields of pharmacokinetics and statistical sciences. Young researchers from the National University Hospital and the NUS departments also benefit from attachments to the centre to get 'hands on research training. Members of our staff also have teaching appointments, contributing to medical student, junior doctor, and other teaching on campus and beyond. The profile of the centre outside Singapore has been established by presentations of research findings at scientific conferences, as well as contributions to regulatory conferences in pharmaceutical industry related meetings.
